ABOUT THE PHIL COLLINS
Legendary singer-drummer and musician Phil Collins is one of the most influential and most beloved artists in the circuit. He performed as a drummer in legendary rock band Genesis. Together with his band, Collins rose to prominence in the 70s with their unprecedented work with Selling England By the Pound and A Trick of the Tail. In the 80s, the band skyrocketed to fame and released several number 1 charting albums. Genesis sold over 150 million albums worldwide, while its members along with Phil Collins was inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 1981, Collins embarked on a solo career and released his debut album Face Value, reaching number 1 on the charts all over the world, including the U.S. The album eventually earned five time platinum certification, meaning it sold over five million copies in the U.S, alone. Collins went on to have a mega successful solo career, releasing many platinum selling albums and singles.
